Year 8 Leavers Trip

Our leavers trip has been a lot of fun this year! We watched The Hunger Games, went to Breakers for lunch and finished the afternoon with an amazing session at Flip City!
It was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with three incredible youngsters who we are proud to have as students of Alfredton School.

All the best for the future boys.
Remember
The future is in your hands, it is yours to take and make yourselves whatever you want it to be. Be proud, leave with the knowledge you have achieved and can continue to do so in whatever you choose to do. We are all incredibly proud to say we taught you!

Pets day and end of year prep

Pets day was an amazing success!
There were amazing examples of well raised lambs and calves. We even had a possum make an appearance this year.
Our indoor art activities were very well done this year. The children put in a lot of time and effort.
Congratulations to
Charlotte
Dallas
Moana
Jerome
Who all won well deserved trophies for top points this year! Great work guys.

Now we begin to look to the end of the year. Please practice this song at home with your children to help them learn our song to sing in Santa!

Year 7 & 8 Moving Forward Conference

The Year 7 & 8 children had an amazing time at the Bush Principal's Moving Forward Conference.  They had hands on opportunities to explore Search and Rescue, Careers with Police, Pukaha Mt Bruce, Engineering, Science DNA, Mau Rakau, Dance and a range of other amazing activities!
The children got a lot out of the day and certainly hope it is run again in the future.

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool painting & repairs have finally been finished! Thanks so much to Rob and Glen who came down on short notice to help out.  This is such an amazing feat for our school.  With so many country schools closing down their pools it is a real credit to the board and community that we have overhauled the damage and repainted.  Watch this space for updates on the solar heating panels that ASCA have made a priority this term!
This is a wonderful example of what can happen when a community pulls together.  It certainly makes me proud to be here at Alfredton School.
Well done everyone!  We are hoping to fill it in the next couple of weeks after the revamped rails have been put on.

Week Two Term Four Certificates

Contratulations to Isabella, Moana and Makayla who received certificates this week.  Great to se you all getting them for being kind, caring, role models....   What lucky teachers we are to have you at Alfredton School.
